IInternational Maritime Policy (IMP) was formed in 2007 by the former Chief Executive of the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency, John Astbury CBE. Since its formation IMP has provided training in Dubai, Malaysia, Nigeria and strategic advice to the EU Floodcommand project, a workshop on crisis management in Egypt under the aegis of the IMO and regularly lectures within Lloyds Maritime Academy. IMP also provides advice to two aviation company boards and Virtual Maritime Technology Inc, in Canada and is regularly tendering for contracts in Europe.
